The Labor Code designates one day off for Hung Kings Commemoration Day. As the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month falls on sunday, 26/4, a compensatory day off is granted on monday, 27/4. This extends the holiday to three days, from 25-27/4.
Following the Hung Kings Commemoration Day, employees will work on 28-29/4 before the next holiday. The April 30th and International Labor Day on 1/5 officially provide two days off. Combined with the weekend, this creates a four-day break, from thursday, 30/4 to sunday, 3/5.

Agencies following this holiday schedule must arrange on-call staff to manage urgent issues. Units without fixed weekend days off should base employee holiday arrangements on their specific operational plans.
Vietnam currently observes 11 official public holidays annually: one day for New Year's Day, 5 days for Lunar New Year, one day for Hung Kings Commemoration Day, two days for April 30th - May 1st, and two days for National Day.

Politburo Resolution 80, issued on 7/1, has designated 24/11 annually as Vietnam Culture Day, with the intention of it becoming a paid public holiday. The government has instructed relevant ministries to implement this policy during amendments to the Labor Code. The initiative seeks to enhance cultural enjoyment for the public, encourage artistic creativity, and promote a civilized lifestyle nationwide.
