Two sisters die in a house fire

Two young girls, aged 7 and 5, were found dead after a fire broke out on the afternoon of 21/3 in Chu Se commune.

Around 3 PM, residents noticed flames emanating from a level-4 house in Hamlet 5. They immediately raised the alarm, attempted to extinguish the blaze, and notified authorities. Chu Se commune police, in cooperation with residents, breached a wall to access the scene and search for victims.

Inside the house, authorities discovered two sisters, Linh and Trinh, unconscious in a bedroom. Both were rushed to Chu Se Medical Center for emergency care but tragically did not survive.

Initial findings indicate the victims suffocated from toxic gases released by burning plastic materials inside the house.

According to local authorities, the girls' parents were away for work at the time of the fire, and the children were home with their grandmother. The grandmother had left the house and closed the door shortly before the incident occurred.

Gia Lai Provincial Police are currently investigating to determine the exact cause of the fire.
