Around 8 PM, a fire erupted on the second floor of a house on Nguyen Khuyen Street, Bac Nha Trang ward. Seeing the smoke, the 4 occupants (a mother and her 3 young children) quickly escaped and called for help.

Several people tried to extinguish the fire with mini fire extinguishers, but were unsuccessful. Within 5 minutes, the fire engulfed the entire second floor, causing a power outage along the street.

The Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police (Khanh Hoa Provincial Police Department) dispatched several fire trucks and dozens of firefighters to the scene. Firefighters used hoses to combat the flames from the front of the house, preventing the fire from spreading. Another team accessed the second floor, breaking through the tile roof to extinguish the fire. The blaze was brought under control within 10 minutes.

The affected house was being rented by a family for both business and residential purposes. The ground floor was used to sell cosmetics, incense, and worship items.

According to authorities, the initial cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit on the second floor.
