On the morning of 3/7, passersby discovered the two girls lying in a roadside ditch near Not village, Ia Boong commune, and alerted the authorities.

Upon investigation, it was confirmed that both victims, residents of Xom Pot village, Ia Pia commune, were deceased. A motorbike was found nearby, leading authorities to believe Nam was driving from Ia Pia commune towards Ia Boong commune.

Initial findings suggest a single-vehicle traffic accident. The incident likely occurred during a heavy downpour the previous night, explaining why it went unnoticed.

Both victims came from low-income families, each of which received 5 million VND in support from local authorities.
