Vietnam Fatherland Front elects 6 new vice presidents

On the morning of 10/7, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Conference elected new members to the Committee, the Presidium, and six vice presidents for the 10th term (2024-2029).

At the conference, 100% of the delegates voted to approve the list of vice presidents for the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.

The new vice presidents are: Ha Thi Nga (Party Central Committee member, Standing Board member of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Organizations, former Secretary of Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee), Nguyen Dinh Khang (Party Central Committee member, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor), Luong Quoc Doan (Party Central Committee member, President of the Vietnam Farmers' Union), Nguyen Thi Tuyen (Party Central Committee member, President of the Vietnam Women's Union), Bui Quang Huy (Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee), and Senior Lieutenant General Be Xuan Truong (President of the Vietnam War Veterans Association).

Earlier, the conference agreed to elect 23 members to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee. The full-time officials include Ha Thi Nga (Party Central Committee member, Standing Board member of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Organizations) and two representatives of member organizations, Lieutenant General Truong Thien To (Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army) and Associate Professor Tran Quang Quy, President of the Vietnam Association of Retired Teachers.

Nineteen presidents of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces and cities were also elected. The conference also elected seven members to the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.
