Vietnam Railways (VNR) is currently accepting group ticket bookings until 19/9. Priority will be given to armed forces personnel, universities, colleges, and businesses in industrial zones.
This year, VNR will continue to sell auxiliary seats for children aged 6 to under 10. Passengers who have purchased a sleeper berth or seat can buy an additional auxiliary seat for a child, allowing the child to share the space with the adult during the journey.
During the Tet period, VNR plans to operate 55 trains with over 800 carriages, providing approximately 330,000 tickets daily. In addition to the seven pairs of Reunification Express trains, two additional pairs (TN3/4 and TN5/6) will run between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. VNR will also operate 12 pairs of trains on shorter routes like Hanoi - Vinh, Dong Hoi - Da Nang, two pairs of Hue - Da Nang trains, along with routes from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Nha Trang, and Phan Thiet. Additional services from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang, Tam Ky, Dieu Tri, Nha Trang, and from Hanoi to Vinh will also be available to meet travel demands during the spring festival.

Passengers purchasing Tet tickets are eligible for discounts: 5-15% off for advance bookings (10 days or more, over 900 km); 3% off for travel from Ho Chi Minh City on the 28th day of the 12th lunar month (15/2/2026) for journeys over 1,000 km; 2-12% off for group bookings of 11 or more people; 5% off the return leg for round-trip tickets; and 10-20% off for students.
VNR recommends buying tickets directly from stations, authorized agents, and bringing identification to receive discounts, avoiding ticket scalpers. Tickets are also available online at dsvn.vn, vetau.com.vn, and vetauonline.vn.
To verify ticket validity, passengers can visit dsvn.vn, go to the "ticket check" section, enter the required information, and click "check ticket". If the result shows "no matching e-ticket found," contact the station for assistance.
