In Quang Nam, the former Tam Ky City Party Committee headquarters on Hung Vuong Street, is now the People's Committee office for Ban Thach ward, Da Nang City. The Tam Ky City Party Committee sign has been replaced with one for the Ban Thach ward People's Committee, but it's currently covered. On June 28th, workers used a crane to remove the old sign for Hai Duong City located on National Highway 5 near the Lai Vu Bridge.
The sign displayed the emblem of Hai Duong City and the dates 1804, the year the Nguyen Dynasty established Hai Duong City as Dong Thanh.
The former Hai Duong City will become 9 wards, including Hai Duong ward, within Hai Phong City. After merging with Hai Duong, Hai Phong City will have 67 communes, 45 wards, and 2 special zones: Bach Long Vi and Cat Hai. Residents visit the newly established Quy Nhon ward office in Gia Lai province. Quy Nhon was previously a city in Binh Dinh province, consisting of 17 communes and wards. It has now been reorganized into 5 communes and one ward.

At the former Vinh Phuoc ward People's Committee office (2/4 Street) in the former Nha Trang City, workers have changed the name to Bac Nha Trang ward, Khanh Hoa province.

On June 29th, the Vung Tau ward People's Committee office on Ly Thuong Kiet Street displayed its new sign. Workers planted flowers outside in preparation for the official operational start on July 1st.
Vung Tau ward, Ho Chi Minh City, was formed by merging wards 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Thang Nhi, and Thang Nhat (Vung Tau City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province). It covers nearly 17 km2 and has a population of over 117,000.

Residents handle administrative procedures at the Long An ward office in Tay Ninh province, formerly the People's Committee office of Tan An City in the former Long An province. After the merger, Tan An City has been reduced from 13 communes and wards to three wards: Long An, Tan An, and Khanh Hau. Tay Ninh province, after merging with Long An, has 96 communes and wards.
According to the Central Committee's resolution, starting July 1st, Vietnam's 63 provinces and cities will be consolidated into 28 provinces and 6 centrally-administered cities.
