Vung Tau's back beach gets uniquely designed public service stations

Six public service stations resembling seashells, boats, and gas rigs are nearing completion along Vung Tau's back beach. Each station spans 1,000 m2 and features modern restroom facilities.

The "Gas Rig" station, located at the end of Thuy Van Street where it meets Nguyen An Ninh Street in Vung Tau ward, is in its final stages of construction.

This project is part of the Thuy Van Street renovation, which includes 12 components and has a total budget of nearly 1,100 billion VND. Construction began in late October of last year.

The upper level offers a viewing area, while below lies a 4-meter deep, 1,000 m2 underground structure housing public restrooms. The "Gas Rig" station overlooks Back Beach, creating an architectural landmark along Thuy Van Street.

The "Seashell" station mimics layered shells, while the "Tree" station, with its hexagonal roof inspired by tropical canopies, is nearing completion.

Near Back Beach's flagpole square, the "Fishing Village" station features a stylized boat design with sails. Nearby, the "Seashell" and "Cloud" stations are also being finalized.

The upper level of the "Fishing Village" station will showcase products, services, and serve visitors.

The open stairways leading down to the rest areas are uncovered. Automatic pumps have been installed to manage rainwater.

Modern restrooms and freshwater showers are available at the "Fishing Village" rest stop.

Inside the rest areas, automatic lighting, ventilation at the four corners of the underground area, and 100 lockers for visitors have been installed.

Once operational, the six public service stations are designed to accommodate 5,000-6,000 people simultaneously.

According to the contractor, the project is over 93% complete. Currently, 420 workers are finishing the underground structures and landscaping near Nguyen An Ninh Street. The project is expected to open to the public by the end of August.

The pedestrian tunnel connecting the "Fishing Village" station area across Thuy Van Street is nearing completion. Three pedestrian tunnels are being built to address traffic congestion during holidays and festivals when large numbers of tourists cross the busy street.

At the Tam Thang symbolic tower, sponsored by Sun Group, triangular pillars, ranging in height from 10.9 m to over 31.6 m and increasing towards the sea, are being installed. This project is also slated for completion by the end of August.

Since the 30/4 holiday, several features at Back Beach, including the park, walkways, and lighting, have been opened to the public, attracting tens of thousands of visitors.
