Midway, Song experienced intense pain and could no longer continue. Her husband sought help from passersby. A patrol team from Team 5 of the Lam Dong Province Police Department's Traffic Police, led by Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Si Trieu, was patrolling the Ho Chi Minh highway when they received the call and rushed to the scene.
The police helped the couple into their car, activated the siren, and drove them to Dak R'Lap Hospital, over 10 km away. As the car reached the hospital gate, Song's water broke.
Given the emergency, doctors provided immediate medical assistance, allowing Song to give birth right there in the police car. Both mother and baby are safe.
