VnExpress wins gold at "Journalism moments" photo awards

The work "outstanding images from the 80th national day grand ceremony" by the VnExpress author group received the gold award at the "Journalism moments" photo awards 2025.

The "Journalism moments" photo awards ceremony took place on the morning of 25/12 at the headquarters of the Vietnam Journalists Association.

This year's awards, themed "Vietnamese courage", highlighted the journey of journalists on the information frontline. From nearly 400 entries, the organizers selected the top 50, then the top 10, and presented gold, silver, and bronze awards across the news, social life, and sports categories.

In the news category, the work "outstanding images from the 80th national day grand ceremony" by the VnExpress author group received the gold award. Silver and bronze awards went to representatives from Dan Tri and Nhan Dan newspapers.

For the social life category, gold, silver, and bronze awards were presented to authors from Dan Tri newspaper, Doi Song va Phap Luat Magazine, and Tin Tuc va Dan Toc newspaper, respectively.

In the sports category, Doanh Nghiep va Kinh Te Xanh Magazine received the gold award, Dan Tri newspaper the silver, and Vietnam News Agency the bronze.

In addition to the gold award, VnExpress also had four works featured in the top 10.

Le Quoc Minh, a member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, and President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, stated that the photo awards are not only an occasion to honor excellent works but also an opportunity to reflect on the responsible and passionate professional journey of journalists.

"Looking at this year's entries, we clearly see the image of journalists quietly accompanying the nation, standing with the people through every rhythm of life," he said, expressing his hope that the awards will continue to spread widely in the future, preserving more beautiful and valuable moments through the lens of photojournalism.

The "Journalism moments" photo awards were first held in 2019, organized by Nha Bao va Cong Luan newspaper under the direction of the Vietnam Journalists Association. The awards aim to honor the qualities and professional skills of photojournalists and other journalists, while also inspiring and encouraging a spirit of national pride.
