The Galaxy Run, organized by Samsung Vietnam in collaboration with VnExpress Marathon, features two distances: 5 km and 10 km. The entire race route is within the Thu Thiem urban area, providing a unique experience for runners to enjoy the Saigon River's beauty and explore the Sala urban area, a familiar training ground for the southern running community.
The start and finish lines are set on Nguyen Thien Thanh Street. From this point, participants will run along the Saigon River for the initial kilometers. This section is known for offering one of the widest views in central Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), revealing the urban core's skyline across the river.
With an anticipated start time between 5h and 6h, runners can witness the sunrise over the Saigon River as the city awakens. The early morning sunlight reflecting on the water, coupled with the cool air, promises a unique experience. After departing Nguyen Thien Thanh Street, participants will continue along To Huu and Bui Thien Ngo streets.

For the 5 km distance, runners will turn around at the Bui Thien Ngo Street intersection before heading back to the finish. The organizers designed most of this route to hug the riverbank. Its flat terrain, wide road, and minimal turns make it ideal for new runners and those seeking a festive race atmosphere.
The 10 km route, however, extends further into the Sala urban area. Many Ho Chi Minh City runners frequent this area for training, drawn by its wide internal roads, low traffic, and ample green spaces.
The Galaxy Run 2026 is scheduled for 21/6, offering free registration to 5,000 athletes. The event embodies the spirit of "Tiep tung buoc tien" (Taking each step forward), inspiring participants to begin their wellness journey through small, manageable changes tailored to their physical condition and lifestyle.
Beyond the competitive races, the event will also feature physical recovery activities and technology experiences for the wider sports community.
On 20/6, an expo zone in Thu Thiem will open for participants to collect their bibs and engage in various side activities hosted by Samsung.
The Galaxy Watch8 series will accompany the event, offering support for tracking sleep, recovery, heart rate, and training metrics. Users can monitor their daily health data and receive personalized analyses and suggestions, aligning with their physical condition, habits, and lifestyle.
