The final item in the VnExpress Marathon Hue 2026 identity kit continues the event's royal-inspired design. The front prominently features the logo and the word "HUE", reflecting Nguyen dynasty art. It incorporates stylized cloud patterns, circular motifs, and flowing, soft decorative bands.

Unlike the event's traditional purple, this year's finisher shirt uses a dominant blue palette, transitioning from a darker shade at the shoulders to a lighter tone on the body. This color scheme creates a youthful appearance while retaining the ancient capital's refined charm.
The back of the shirt prominently displays "FINISHER 21.0975KM", alongside the Vietnam national flag and the event logo. This serves as a key identifier for athletes completing the half marathon distance. Previously, the event announced race shirts in purple with stylized cloud and wave patterns, and medals shaped like traditional *khanh* (a chime).
A representative from the organizing committee stated, "The finisher shirt, along with the race shirt and medal, completes this year's collection of royal-inspired items. We hope each runner not only receives a finishing gift but also carries a piece of Hue's identity with them after the race."

This year's finisher shirts are produced by Velosar, a strategic partner of the VnExpress Marathon system for the 2026 - 2027 period. Each shirt is lightweight, weighing approximately 95 - 100g, and uses 110 GSM Poly Mesh fabric, designed with a mesh structure. This material promotes rapid sweat wicking, reducing stickiness during activity.
The 4-way stretch Spandex component ensures a snug fit while allowing flexibility with body movement. Flatlock seams reduce friction, enhancing wearer comfort. The shirt also integrates anti-odor and UV protection properties, safeguarding runners during competition and training.
Since its debut in Hue in 2020, the VnExpress Marathon has made its mark with a running course through heritage sites. Runners stride past the Imperial City of Hue, Truong Tien Bridge, Nghenh Luong Dinh, Phu Van Lau, and tree-lined central streets. With a dawn start time, athletes also get to witness the Hue sunrise as early morning light gradually bathes the Perfume River and ancient structures.
This year, the organizing committee has temporarily suspended the full marathon (42km) distance, focusing on developing the half marathon (21km) and shorter distances. This adjustment aims to optimize the course, keeping the race route within Hue's distinctive cultural and historical landscape, thereby enhancing the athlete experience.
