According to statistics from the National Tourism Administration on 3/5, Vietnam served 12 million visitors during the two holiday periods of Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and April 30th - May 1st. Among these, Da Nang was among the top provinces and cities in the country for both revenue and visitor numbers, attracting 1,46 million visitors (a nearly 35% increase compared to the same period last year) and generating 5,700 billion VND (a nearly 35% increase). It is estimated that each visitor spent nearly 4 million VND during their trip to Da Nang on this occasion.
Notably, Da Nang's international visitor segment reached over 621,000 arrivals, marking a 24% increase from last year. This figure is 2,5 times higher than Hanoi and 3,3 times higher than Ho Chi Minh City, positioning Da Nang as the nation's leading city in attracting foreign tourists. This achievement aligns with the overall growth trend, as April recorded over 2 million international visitors to Vietnam, maintaining this figure for the fourth consecutive month—the highest level in the tourism industry's history.
This growth is supported by diverse tourism routes, encompassing both air and sea travel. On 29/4, the cruise ship Star Voyager docked at Tien Sa Port, bringing 1,500 tourists and over 1,000 crew members to explore famous attractions like the Marble Mountains and Linh Ung Pagoda. The visit also facilitated connections to nearby heritage sites such as Hoi An and My Son.

Da Nang's appeal stems from its strategic approach to tourism, offering a diverse array of events and experiences. A representative from Da Nang's tourism industry stated that the locality prepared a rich "menu" of events, ranging from cultural and sports activities to beach entertainment, designed to attract tourists. The highlight was the "Peaceful Homeland" gala program held on the evening of 2/5 on the east bank of Dragon Bridge. Featuring a multi-level stage integrated with the bridge and Han River, the performance drew tens of thousands of residents and visitors.
Concurrently, the "Opening of Da Nang Beach Tourism Season 2026" event series, themed "Brilliant Summer", took place at My Khe Beach and Pham Van Dong Beach. This series included various sports competitions, a pizza festival, and artistic kite performances.
Other destinations also recorded significant visitor numbers thanks to new offerings. At community tourism sites such as Toom Sara village, Dong Giang Sky Gate, and La village, tourists can immerse themselves in Co Tu culture and experience brocade weaving.

Nguyen Tien Dat, General Director of AZA Travel, observed that Da Nang benefits from being an "all-in-one" destination. Tourists can enjoy a wide range of experiences, from beaches and luxury resorts to exploring UNESCO heritage sites like Hoi An and My Son Sanctuary. Furthermore, the administrative merger between Da Nang and Quang Nam has fostered consistency in destination management and promotion.
"Da Nang consistently remains a preferred choice for South Korean, Chinese, and Indian visitors," Dat stated. "The city also earns high marks for its civilized tourism environment, where 'price gouging' rarely occurs, making tour operators very confident in bringing large groups here."
Additionally, Da Nang boasts an advantage in flight connectivity, making it easily accessible for international travelers. According to the Da Nang International Airport website, the city currently offers flights to 13 domestic destinations and over 20 international destinations, including Japan, Thailand, South Korea, India, Maldives, and Indonesia.
