The resort management will hold a special ceremony for the 10 millionth visitor at the ticket gate. A representative will then escort the guests to Fansipan peak for an official ceremony at Cloud Yard (San May), the highest point in the Northwest region.
The lucky visitor will receive a gift package valued at over 20 million VND. This includes a two-night stay voucher at Sun Group's luxury hotels and a limited-edition 10-year anniversary gift set. The two passengers numbered 9,999,999 and 10,000,001 will also receive gifts and resort vouchers, each valued at over 10 million VND.

This event coincides with the one-decade anniversary of the Fansipan cable car's inauguration. In 2016, the system achieved two Guinness World Records: the world's longest three-rope cable car (6,292,5 m) and the greatest elevation difference between its departure and arrival stations (1,410 m). The cable car revolutionized access to the "Roof of Indochina". Millions of visitors across all age groups, from children to the elderly, can now reach the 3,143 m peak in about 15 minutes, replacing the arduous multi-day trek.

Over the past 10 years, Sun Group has consistently invested in enhancing Sa Pa, developing a sustainable tourism ecosystem. The resort offers diverse experiences, from the spiritual complex on the mountaintop to vibrant flower valleys and year-round festivals. Ban May, in particular, functions as a "living museum", preserving the cultural heritage of Sa Pa's five ethnic minority groups: H'Mong, Dao, Tay, Giay, and Xa Pho. This commitment has led Sun World Fansipan Legend to receive multiple World Travel Awards (WTA) accolades, including: World's Leading Cultural Tourist Attraction and World's Leading Natural Scenic Tourist Attraction.

Before 2016, Sa Pa attracted only a few hundred thousand visitors annually. By 2025, the area recorded a record of over 4,3 million visitors, with tourism revenue reaching 19,000 billion VND, an 11-fold increase from pre-cable car figures. Earlier this year, Agoda listed Sa Pa among Asia's fastest-growing destinations, following a 15-place climb on the continent's top 100 destinations chart.
Visitors from various countries now prioritize Sa Pa when exploring Vietnam's Northern Highlands. Sun World Fansipan Legend's ongoing innovation, encompassing both transportation infrastructure and local cultural experiences, is widely recognized for elevating Sa Pa's standing on the global tourism map.

"The 10 million visitor milestone represents more than just business success," a Sun Group representative stated, "it underscores the resort's role in local socio-economic development. The project has created thousands of jobs, improved the lives of ethnic minority communities, and helped promote the cultural identity of the Northwest to a global audience."
