The Hue Monuments Conservation Center announced that the royal banquet will be elaborately staged to revive the atmosphere of ancient royal feasts, combining refined imperial cuisine with traditional performing arts. Here, visitors can savor Hue's characteristic dishes while immersing themselves in court music, rituals, and the distinctive style of the Nguyen dynasty.
The royal banquet accommodates a maximum of 130 guests each evening, with tickets priced at 1,7 million VND per person.
The program is part of the "Shining Imperial City" summer festival, which runs from 24/4 to 2/5 and offers various community activities. Before entering the banquet, guests will embark on a journey through an imperial night experience, starting with the Changing of the Guard ceremony at Ngo Mon, followed by cannon firing effects, 3D mapping light shows, court dances, a reenactment of court sessions, and spirited imperial military drills.
Additionally, the Dien Thai Hoa palace and its adjacent areas will be expanded into experiential zones, featuring activities like a royal market, court games, Hue Ao Dai and Hanbok fashion shows, and technology-based activities such as the virtual reality experience "searching for the lost imperial city".
