Hieu Nguyen from Hanoi, along with a group of Vietnamese tourists, embarked on a twelve-day trip to Tibet from late march to mid-april. His itinerary included Lhasa (the capital of the Tibet autonomous region), Laigu glacier, Ranwu lake, the sacred Yamdrok lake, the blue Tsokou lake, and Everest Base Camp.
Spring is currently underway in Tibet, with many flowers, such as cherry blossoms, apricot blossoms, and rapeseed flowers, blooming everywhere. Among these, cherry blossoms are the most abundant and prominent.

Nyingchi, located in southeastern Tibet, is often referred to as the "Switzerland of Tibet". It features forests, rivers, snow-capped mountains, and expansive valleys.

Nyingchi's terrain is considerably lower than many other parts of Tibet. With the arrival of spring, cherry blossoms stretch from the valleys up the hillsides, creating a vibrant landscape, especially in areas like Bomi, Pome, and along the Yarlung Tsangpo river. Additionally, the Pabonka outskirts in Lhasa also feature abundant cherry blossoms.
The Nyingchi cherry blossom festival takes place from mid-march to mid-april. This is when spring arrives, the weather is warm, creating conditions for the flowers to bloom.

Cherry blossoms typically bloom for about two to three weeks, depending on the weather conditions each year. When temperatures rise slightly and snow gradually melts, cherry buds burst into color throughout the forests.

In addition to cherry blossoms, apricot blossoms also bloom profusely in Tibet during this period.

Tashilhunpo features white and red walls that stretch along the hillside behind the city. Not as tall as Potala, Tashilhunpo is expansive and deep, creating a maze-like sensation with its corridors, courtyards, shrines, and dark staircases.

"Tashilhunpo is a place that makes visitors want to slow down, speak softer, and linger a little longer before leaving," Hieu Nguyen said.
