Vinhomes Green Paradise's vision for a "future green urban area"

Guided by the ESG++ model, Vinhomes Green Paradise integrates green planning, synchronous infrastructure, and smart operations, gradually forming a sustainable living space connected to nature.

Experts note that rapid urbanization has increased demand for green and fresh living spaces. This trend has led to a shift away from crowded city centers towards well-planned urban areas with low construction density and a close connection to nature.

According to Knight Frank's The Wealth Report 2025, which surveyed 600 financial institutions and major asset owners globally, 45% of clients now prioritize open spaces and clean environments over locations in financial centers. An epidemiological study by Aarhus University in Denmark, published in the journal PNAS and involving nearly one trieu people, demonstrated that growing up in a natural environment reduces the risk of developing mental health issues in adulthood by up to 55%.

Anticipating this trend, Vinhomes Green Paradise Can Gio is developing according to the ESG++ standard. Beyond the three pillars of environment, social, and governance, two additional elements, regeneration and adaptability, are included. This approach allows the 2,870 ha project to create a large-scale urban area while building a city structure capable of long-term operation, adapting to coastal conditions, and meeting new residential and resort living standards.

Ecological planning and green infrastructure

The first highlight of Vinhomes Green Paradise is its planning orientation. The project maintains a construction density of approximately 16%, dedicating most of its area to greenery, water features, and open spaces. According to the developer, this layout reduces the pressure of dense construction and creates open ventilation for the entire urban area.

The landscape structure is defined by a large-scale water system, including a natural seawater Lagoon spanning over 800 ha, along with a network of green parks, utility parks, squares, and public spaces. In a coastal city, water features serve as a landscape element, helping to regulate the microclimate, support drainage, and create a more pleasant living environment for residents.

Extending from its spatial organization, the project also incorporates green technical infrastructure solutions. Solutions such as regulating lakes, permeable surfaces, and rainwater collection and reuse are implemented to reduce pressure on natural resources. This approach suits large-scale urban areas, where operations must meet current needs and ensure long-term stability.

Alongside water infrastructure, energy and transportation policies aim to reduce emissions. Vinhomes Green Paradise prioritizes electric vehicles within the internal area, including electric oto, electric moto, electric bicycles, electric buses, and electric canoes. Additionally, energy sources are planned to include offshore wind power, solar power, and energy storage systems. A representative from the developer stated that investing in green energy and transportation will help create a lower-emission living environment compared to traditional urban models.

Furthermore, the water treatment and supply system is designed to enhance quality from the outset. Technologies such as ozone, BAC, UV, and chloramine are applied to treat domestic water, combined with a tap water drinking model and water resource reuse. This demonstrates an approach that goes beyond meeting basic needs, aiming to control infrastructure quality throughout the operational process.

ESG++ aims for sustainable living

While planning and infrastructure form the framework, the organization of utilities and operations determines the actual livability of an urban area. At Vinhomes Green Paradise Can Gio, these elements are implemented synchronously, linked to the goal of creating a stable living environment in the long term.

The project is designed as a complete living space, integrating essential needs within the area. Healthcare and education systems form the foundation of this structure. The Vinmec International Hospital, in partnership with Cleveland Clinic (My), focuses on a proactive healthcare model, including monitoring and prevention. Meanwhile, the education system continuously develops from preschool to secondary, combining Vinschool and international programs. This organization helps residents maintain a stable rhythm of life, with utilities, learning, and medical care right at their doorstep.

Notably, the developer initiated community activities early on, establishing a foundation for resident life. The first event was the Can Gio Spring Festival, held from 7/2 to 28/2, coinciding with the Lunar New Year. The event attracted over 50,000 visitors and investors, with the opening day alone recording over 10,000 attendees, contributing to a vibrant atmosphere in the southern coastal area of TP HCM.

Following this series of activities, on 19/4, Vinhomes will host the Green Family Walk on a coastal route at Vinhomes Green Paradise. The journey passes through the Can Gio mangrove forest, an area with high tree density and fresh air, offering a distinct physical activity experience compared to an urban setting. The event includes two distances, 2 km and 3,04 km, suitable for various age groups, and integrates health care stations and experiential activities related to nutrition and sustainable exercise.

During the 30/4–1/5 holiday, the area will continue to host a series of cultural and sports activities for families and youth. A highlight is the VnExpress Marathon Green Paradise Can Gio, with approximately 5,000 athletes. The running course goes through the urban area, Duyen Hai route, and Rung Sac axis, creating an experience connected to natural spaces. Additionally, the program includes music performances, minigames, food stalls, and a coastal fireworks display on the night of 30/4, combining entertainment with outdoor experiences.

According to a developer representative, maintaining this series of events in a short period demonstrates a proactive approach to urban development. Instead of waiting for infrastructure completion to form a community, activities are implemented concurrently with the construction process. This early formation of a vibrant lifestyle, centered on physical activity and outdoor experiences, aligns with the growing interest in health.

For extended amenities, the project adds cultural, entertainment, and service facilities to complete the living space. Items such as squares, theaters, golf courses, and coastal service areas are planned to serve both residents and tourism activities. This allows the urban area to maintain economic operations, create employment opportunities, and increase local commercial activity.

Operational activities are supported by a technology-integrated management system. The operating center uses AI to monitor environment, energy, and security in real time. Data is connected to manage infrastructure and help maintain a stable quality of life.

The ESG++ orientation is demonstrated through regeneration and adaptability elements. In Can Gio, this approach involves restoring the mangrove ecosystem, improving water quality, and implementing solutions to respond to climate change. These activities show that the project is developed to maintain and enhance environmental value.

The developer believes that from planning and utilities to operations, all components of Vinhomes Green Paradise are linked into a unified structure. The combination of green infrastructure, management technology, and community focus helps form a coastal urban model aimed at sustainable living.
