Iran targets multiple US bases in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait

Iran's military announced drone attacks on several US military bases and facilities in Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait, in retaliation for recent attacks by Washington.

"This morning, Arash suicide drones attacked fuel tanks, equipment depots, material storage facilities, and barracks of US military forces at Isa air base in Bahrain," Iran's state television reported on 24/7, citing a statement from the country's military.

Reporters for the AFP news agency in Bahrain noted an explosion and warning sirens, though it remains unclear if the two incidents were directly related. Bahrain later announced it had intercepted and destroyed "multiple Iranian aerial attacks", while accusing Tehran of targeting civilians.

Iran's military also claimed drone attacks in Jordan, targeting "aircraft hangars, technical maintenance workshops, and barracks" at Al-Azraq base.

In another statement, Iran's military stated it launched drones at US equipment depots at Udairi base and US military positions at Doha base and Arifjan base in Kuwait.

Meanwhile, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed to have targeted an Amazon data center in Bahrain, though neither the US tech giant nor Bahrain has commented on this information.

The IRGC also stated it targeted Ali Al Salem air base in Kuwait, claiming to have destroyed an ammunition depot and inflicted casualties among US forces. They also announced attacks on equipment storage facilities at Udairi base in Kuwait and a US 5th Fleet observation post in Bahrain.

Iran considers any facility or base in the Middle East used by the US military to attack the country as a legitimate retaliatory target.

The US has not confirmed any information regarding its facilities or personnel being targeted.

The US has intensified its attacks on Iran over the past two weeks, aiming to prevent Tehran from targeting cargo ships in the Strait of Hormuz. However, Iran has shown no intention of changing its stance and has also increased attacks on military targets in the region in retaliation.

President Donald Trump told Axios on 23/7 that he "is considering a large-scale attack, bigger than ever" against Iran. The US leader admitted this decision would lead to consequences, but noted he has not made a final decision and has not set a deadline.
