"Ziv Agmon will leave his position in the coming days, after his successor, Ido Norden, takes office", Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted on X on 6/4.
Agmon, who is currently serving as acting chief of staff and spokesperson for Prime Minister Netanyahu, caused outrage last week when it was revealed he had called Moroccan Jews "baboons" and disparaged members of Netanyahu's Likud party, as well as the Prime Minister's wife and son.

Agmon's dismissal was considered a sudden decision. Just hours earlier, the Likud party had quoted Prime Minister Netanyahu saying he wanted Agmon to remain in the position for stability.
However, Norden, who will replace Agmon, is also embroiled in controversy. Israeli media reported on 6/4 that Norden created fake X accounts to promote his book on the "deep state", in which he claims Israel's failure to prevent the Hamas attack on 7/10/2023 was due to "underground forces".
Netanyahu's team of aides has seen numerous upheavals in recent years, linked to a series of controversies. Recently, Tzachi Braverman, a close ally of Netanyahu and designated future Israeli ambassador to London, was questioned by police over allegations of interfering in an investigation into information leaks related to the Gaza conflict.
Some of his aides were also accused of receiving money from Qatar to improve the country's image in Israel during the Gaza conflict.
