CNN released a compilation video on 2/4 showing large explosions in Baharestan, Isfahan province, central Iran, on 1/4. The footage captured intense fires illuminating the sky and a massive column of black smoke billowing upwards, following a new wave of attacks on the country.
US-Israel military forces confirmed targeting an Iranian missile base in Baharestan. The large orange fireball observed during the explosion indicates that missile munitions likely detonated upon impact.
Isfahan province, a vital transportation and industrial hub in Iran, along with its namesake city, a significant military center linked to Iran's nuclear infrastructure, has been repeatedly targeted by US-Israel forces.
Social media videos also documented a series of explosions in Isfahan on 31/3, reportedly from US airstrikes utilizing multiple bunker-buster bombs. Reuters confirmed that the targeted sites included buildings, parking lots, and highways.
While no casualties have been reported from the recent Isfahan attacks, the ongoing conflict involving Iran has resulted in over 3,000 deaths across the Middle East, primarily in Iran and Lebanon.
