Aprilia Racing, the racing division of Italian motorcycle manufacturer Aprilia, introduced the X 250TH, a limited-edition track motorcycle. Its debut coincided with a Formula 1 (F1) race on 27/3. This superbike commemorates the 250th anniversary of the US National Day.
The Aprilia X 250TH is based on the RSV4 prototype and developed with a MotoGP-inspired design. A highlight of the X 250TH is its unique Brembo carbon-carbon braking system, identical to that used in MotoGP. It features 340 mm diameter discs, carbon brake pads, and monobloc aluminum calipers with cooling fins.

Aerodynamics is another special feature of the Aprilia X 250TH, an area where Aprilia Racing excels in MotoGP. The rear of the motorcycle features wings inspired by the RS-GP, an exclusive technology of the Aprilia Racing team. The combination of the seat wing and rear wing increases aerodynamic pressure during braking in corners.
The carbon fiber seat support frame, manufactured by PAN Compositi, features a "sandwich" structure. Completing the package is an SC Project titanium dual exhaust system, mimicking MotoGP design.
The Aprilia X 250TH's carbon fiber side wings reduce downforce when the motorcycle leans, enhancing grip and stability during cornering. The overall paint scheme draws inspiration from the US flag.
The X 250TH racing superbike is equipped with a 65-degree V4 engine, 1,099 cc, derived from the RSV4 but tuned to produce 240 horsepower at 13,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 131 Nm at 11,750 rpm. It uses a Sprint racing air filter and the latest generation throttle.
The motorcycle features an aluminum twin-spar frame, coupled with Ohlins suspension specifically configured for racing. It utilizes Marchesini forged magnesium wheels and Pirelli racing tires. A large water and oil radiator system, incorporating WSBK technology, is part of the setup, along with a drivetrain comprising a titanium rear sprocket, a PBR-lightened front sprocket, and a Regina 520 chain.
Production of the Aprilia X 250TH is limited to 30 units. Of these, 25 are exclusively for the US market, priced at 150,000 USD. The remaining five units are available for other markets at 132,000 USD. The motorcycle is sold solely through the manufacturer's online ordering system.
