On 27/3 in Hanoi, Geely launched the EX2, the most compact electric vehicle in the Chinese brand's lineup. The EX2 targets young urban customers. It is available in two versions: the Pro, priced at 459 million dong, and the Max, priced at 499 million dong.

The exterior design of both versions is identical, featuring a soft, rounded shape, leaf-shaped headlights, and integrated C-shaped daytime running lights. The Max version includes automatic headlights, power-adjustable and heated side mirrors. Air intake vents below the bumper help cool the battery.

Overall, the vehicle measures 4.135 x 1.805 x 1.580 mm (length x width x height), with a 2.650 mm wheelbase and 160 mm ground clearance. The EX2's dimensions are comparable to B-segment cars, positioning it against domestic rivals such as the Dongfeng Box (4.030 x 1.810 x 1.570 mm), Wuling Bingo (3.950 x 1.708 x 1.580 mm), and BYD Dolphin (4.125 x 1.770 x 1.570 mm).

Under the hood is a 70-liter storage compartment, a key advantage over competitors in its segment that lack a front trunk.

The Max version features 16-inch wheels, while the Pro version comes with 15-inch wheels. The four-spoke star design remains consistent across both versions.

The rear of the vehicle is rounded and minimalist, with LED taillights mirroring the headlight design.

The rear trunk offers a capacity of 375 liters, expanding to 1.320 liters when the second-row seats are folded. In total, the cabin provides 36 storage compartments.

The interior clearly distinguishes the two versions. The Max version features premium perforated leather seats, improved plastic trim, a 6-way power-adjustable driver's seat, automatic climate control, ambient interior lighting, and a 6-speaker sound system. The two-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel includes hands-free controls.

A 14,6-inch central infotainment screen supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth connectivity. All driving modes, climate control, and vehicle information are adjusted via this central screen.
Both versions are equipped with safety features such as anti-lock braking system (ABS), electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), electronic stability control, electronic roll-over mitigation, auto hold, and hill start assist. However, the Max version adds adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, six airbags, and a 540-degree camera.

The minimalist central control cluster features a crystal-like gear selector. Adjacent to it are quick-access buttons for climate control, the front defroster, and hazard lights. The open design below increases storage space and includes two USB charging ports. The Max version also offers wireless charging.

The passenger dashboard and door panels are adorned with city-themed patterns, underscoring the EX2's urban focus. These patterns also depict the Hangzhou, China, skyline, where Geely's headquarters are located.

The spacious rear seats comfortably accommodate three adults and are equipped with air vents and a USB charging port.

The vehicle utilizes a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, delivering 113 hp and 150 Nm of torque to the rear wheels. Power comes from a 39,4 kWh LFP battery pack with a 70 kW charging capacity. According to NEDC standards, the EX2 has a range of 395 km on a single charge.
With prices ranging from 459-499 million dong, the Geely EX2 appeals to young, first-time car buyers in urban areas. It positions itself in the B-segment, priced between the Wuling Bingo, Dongfeng Box, and BYD Dolphin. The EX2's range surpasses the Box (330 km) but falls short of the Bingo (410 km) and Dolphin (405 km). However, the biggest challenge for the EX2 is the limited charging infrastructure. Geely Vietnam expects to expand its charging network this year, and electric vehicles and PHEVs within the Tasco Auto ecosystem will be able to share these stations.
