Audi Q6 e-tron launches in Vietnam for 3.199 billion VND

The luxury crossover features a single rear-wheel-drive electric motor, a 583 km range, supports 260 kW DC fast charging, and a tech-filled interior.

The Vietnamese distributor for German luxury car brand Audi launched the Q6 e-tron in Vietnam on 4/7. The new Q6 e-tron joins Audi's electric SUV lineup, adding another green option alongside the e-tron GT sedan and the Q8 e-tron SUV.

The Q6 e-tron electric crossover is available in a single version, priced at 3.19 billion VND. The vehicle comes with a 3-year unlimited kilometer warranty. The battery is covered by an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty, whichever comes first. Vietnamese customers also receive a complimentary 2-year charging voucher for EV One public charging stations nationwide.

The Q6 e-tron is built on the Volkswagen Group's Premium Platform Electric (PPE). This platform is also used for the Porsche Macan EV, which offers 4 versions priced between 3.48 and 5.86 billion VND.

The vehicle is equipped with a rear-mounted electric motor delivering 301 horsepower and 485 Nm of torque. In Launch Control mode, the Q6 e-tron accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 210 km/h.

At the heart of the Q6 e-tron is an 800V lithium-ion high-voltage battery system. The battery has a capacity of 94.9 kWh, providing a range of 583 km. It supports DC fast charging up to 260 kW, allowing a 10-80% charge in just 22 minutes. Tests indicate a 10-minute fast charge provides enough energy to travel 255 km. The vehicle features charging ports on both sides and comes with an 11 kW e-tron compact mobile AC charger.

The luxury crossover measures 4,771 mm in length, 1,939 mm in width, and 1,685 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,899 mm. These dimensions are slightly smaller than the Q8 e-tron (4,915 x 2,189 x 1,633 mm and a 2,928 mm wheelbase). The vehicle features a closed single-frame grille and distinctive air intakes.

The Q6 e-tron is equipped with split-type LED matrix headlights. The daytime running lights consist of 70 individual LEDs and can be customized via the myAudi app or the MMI infotainment screen. The rear lights are LED. In some markets, the Q6 e-tron offers OLED taillights as an option, but this feature is not yet available in Vietnam.

The interior features an 11.9-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus digital instrument cluster and a 14.5-inch MMI central infotainment screen. A separate 10.9-inch MMI display for the front passenger provides independent navigation and entertainment functions.

The vehicle features an augmented reality head-up display (HUD). The infotainment system supports voice control, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Other cabin features include interactive ambient lighting with 84 LEDs and a 16-speaker B&O sound system.

The luggage compartment offers ample space with a capacity of 526 liters, expandable to 1,529 liters with the 40:20:40 split rear seats folded down. In addition to the main luggage compartment, there is a 64-liter storage compartment under the hood. The vehicle has a towing capacity of 2,400 kg.

The German automaker has equipped the Q6 e-tron with a range of driver-assistance systems, including Audi Drive Select driving modes, adaptive cruise control, front collision warning with automatic emergency braking, and collision avoidance assist. It also includes blind spot monitoring, exit warning, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, parking assist, and a 360-degree camera.

The Audi Q6 e-tron went on sale in Vietnam on 4/7.
