Regular product quality monitoring and research from parent company Audi AG revealed a potential issue: the bolt connecting the brake pedal pushrod and the brake booster may not have been tightened to the required technical specifications in the affected vehicle lines.
If this connection completely loosens, the vehicle's normal braking performance and function could be significantly compromised, posing a potential safety risk during operation. While the company has not recorded any accidents or safety incidents related to this issue in Vietnam or globally, this is a proactive measure by the manufacturer to prevent risks.
Audi Vietnam confirmed that 9 vehicles sold are subject to the recall, comprising 6 e-tron vehicles and 3 Q8 e-tron vehicles.

The German luxury automaker stated that even in a worst-case scenario where the connection loosens, the vehicle can still decelerate using its controlled emergency braking function. Drivers can activate this feature by pressing and holding the electronic parking brake button on the center console to bring the vehicle to a safe stop.
The recall program will run from 21/5/2026 to 21/5/2029. Inspection and repair will be completely free of charge at authorized Audi Vietnam dealerships.
