Omoda C5 adds sport variant priced at 559 million VND

The B-segment high-riding vehicle introduces a new option for Vietnamese customers, with the new sport variant featuring numerous enhancements.

The C5 Sport is priced at 559 million VND. Among the C5 lineup, the Sport variant is positioned just above the most affordable Luxury variant and below the Premium variant. The specific prices for C5 variants are listed in the table below:

Omoda C5 Price

(million VND)

Luxury 539
Sport 559
Premium 589
Flagship 669
SHS-H Premium 669
SHS-H Flagship 749

Customers purchasing a vehicle between 15/6 and 31/7 will receive a promotion equivalent to five years of fuel, valued at 69,9 million VND, along with interest rate support for the first 12 months of bank loans, equivalent to 10 million VND. After applying these incentives, the price of the C5 Sport is 479 million VND.

This price, under 500 million VND, gives the C5 Sport a significant competitive edge in initial investment cost for a fully-optioned urban crossover. In addition to price incentives, the C5 Sport comes with a warranty policy of 7 years or 1 million km for the entire vehicle and 10 years or 1 million km for the engine.

The C5 features a coupe design with aerodynamic character lines. Compared to the traditional styling of many rivals in the B-segment CUV category, the C5's coupe aesthetic targets customers who appreciate individuality and a distinctive look.

The new C5 Sport is equipped with a range of technology features designed for daily use, including a dual 10,25-inch screen cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support, remote engine start, acoustic front windows, power-folding and auto-folding side mirrors, and automatic climate control.

The new variant also adds a suite of safety features: blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, 4 airbags, electronic stability control, and other standard safety features.

The Sport variant's engine is similar to the Luxury, featuring a 1.5-liter engine with 111 horsepower. The Premium variant is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 145 horsepower. The Premium variant includes an electronic gear shifter and multiple driving modes, which are not present in the Sport variant.

Regarding safety features, the Premium has 6 airbags, two more than the Sport and Luxury variants. For parking sensors, the Premium offers front and rear, while the other two variants only have rear sensors. The Sport's advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) now include blind spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert, matching the Premium variant, features not available on the Luxury.

Externally, similar to the Premium, the Sport variant uses LED headlights and power-folding side mirrors with heating and acoustic front windows. In contrast, the Luxury uses halogen headlights, manually adjustable side mirrors without heating, and standard windows.

In the B-segment CUV category, the C5 competes with formidable rivals that lead monthly sales, such as Toyota Yaris Cross, Mitsubishi Xforce, and Hyundai Creta.
