The Mitsubishi Destinator, a new C-segment CUV, has garnered significant attention since its early December launch, culminating in a successful debut at the Vietnam Mobility Show (VnMS) 2025 in Hanoi. Replacing the Outlander, the model became the focal point of Mitsubishi's display from the exhibition's opening days (26-28/12), drawing numerous visitors keen to explore its Premium and Ultimate versions.

The Destinator has quickly become Mitsubishi's most sought-after model, demonstrating immediate market appeal. The Japanese automaker recorded approximately 2,000 purchase contracts for the Destinator within just one week of its launch. This rapid sales pace far surpasses previous Mitsubishi successes, as the Xpander, a former MPV sales leader, took five months to reach the same 2,000-unit milestone, and the Xforce crossover achieved it in nearly four months.
Visitors to VnMS 2025 expressed positive feedback on the Destinator's design and spaciousness. Minh Duc from Cau Giay, Hanoi, described the design as "stable, not overly complicated, quite practical," noting his family's interest in a versatile 7-seater. Thanh Hoa from Long Bien, Hanoi, was particularly impressed by the interior's generous space, stating, "Regarding the three-row seating, I find this car comfortable and suitable for my family's needs."
The Destinator's competitive pricing has also contributed to its strong reception. According to VnExpress sources, 75% of pre-orders were for the top-tier Ultimate version, listed at 855 million dong, while the remaining 25% chose the Premium version at 780 million dong. During December, Mitsubishi offered promotional prices of 808 million dong for the Ultimate and 739 million dong for the Premium. This price range positions the Destinator as one of the most accessible options in the C-segment, uniquely offering a 7-seat configuration with high ground clearance for under 810 million dong, a segment where competitors like the Honda CR-V and Volkswagen Tiguan typically exceed one billion dong.
Beyond static displays, Mitsubishi provided a fleet of vehicles for test drives at the exhibition. The Destinator, alongside popular models like the Xpander and Xforce, attracted many visitors eager to experience and compare the vehicles before making a purchase decision.
