In 2022, in Gothenburg, Sweden, the "The Next Day" design language marked a new beginning for the Lynk & Co brand. Its sporty lines and shapes, blended with technological colors from inside out, reflect the New Premium brand's vision for the future of the global automotive industry.
The Lynk & Co 08 is the first commercial vehicle to embody this design philosophy.
Upon its arrival in Vietnam in October 2025, the Lynk & Co 08 quickly injected new energy into the traditionally aging D-segment SUV market with its fresh experience based on the "The Next Day" design language. Many customers find its features rarely seen in rivals at a similar price point.

"The initial days of getting to know the car were like discovering features on entirely new tech devices," shared Cong Quyen, a Lynk & Co 08 owner in TP HCM. "Many things on the car are not used in the way of traditional automobiles."
Quyen recounted that when he test drove the car before placing a deposit, he struggled to find the engine start/stop button. The controls for lights, air conditioning, and driving modes were also hidden. With assistance from the salesperson and further self-exploration, he gradually became accustomed to this new-era automobile.

Like Cong Quyen, many Lynk & Co 08 owners describe an initial sense of unfamiliarity. Most functions are controlled via a 15.4-inch central display, featuring 2.5K resolution (2,560 x 1,600) with anti-glare and anti-fingerprint properties. What initially seemed inconvenient soon became a source of enjoyment, as owners grew accustomed to the technologically advanced vehicle.
Once owners become familiar with it, the Lynk & Co 08 delivers experiences that few rivals in its segment can match. For example, its smart start/stop system minimizes manual operations. Drivers only need to shift to P, close the door, and take the key with them; the car automatically shuts off and locks, accompanied by a dynamic light show from the headlights, daytime running lights, and taillights.

Inside, the Lynk & Co 08 boasts a minimalist design, with physical buttons reduced to a minimum. Inspired by Nordic aesthetics, this simplicity does not equate to monotony. The premium SUV offers passengers a high-fidelity experience with a Harman Kardon sound system featuring 23 speakers and a total output of up to 1,600 W. Ambient interior lighting can synchronize with music, creating a lively and youthful atmosphere.
All seats in the Lynk & Co 08 are upholstered in Nappa leather, ergonomically designed, and include heating and massage functions for the front row. The rear seats recline up to 33 degrees, and the 1.1 cubic meter panoramic sunroof offers multiple opening levels. Owners can connect and adjust approximately 30 functions on the vehicle via a smartphone application.

The Lynk & Co 08 distinguishes itself from competitors through its sporty exterior design. The entire body creates a seamless experience, with fluid panels running along the sides punctuated by sharp, decisive lines.
The Lynk & Co 08 features frameless windows and side mirrors, a rarity in its segment and typically found only on pure sports cars. In addition to hidden door handles, the C-pillar of the Lynk & Co 08 tapers backward, creating a "floating roof" effect typical of luxury SUV coupes. The daytime running light strip is prominently positioned on the hood, displaying the distinctive Lynk & Co brand identity.
"Exterior design is a matter of personal aesthetic judgment, but behind the wheel, the car's sporty character is very evident," said Cong Quyen, owner of a Lynk & Co 08.
Before upgrading to the 08, Quyen had a long-term relationship with a C-segment gasoline sedan. He noted that the acceleration of the Lynk & Co 08 is remarkably different, especially in pure electric mode. The Lynk & Co plug-in hybrid boasts a total output of up to 345 horsepower and a maximum torque of 580 Nm, making it one of the most powerful in its segment, considering both internal combustion and hybrid vehicles.

The 08 offers three selectable driving modes: EV, Hybrid, and Power. In EV mode, with a full battery, it can achieve a pure electric range of up to 200 km and operate at speeds up to 120 km/h. Quyen stated that when the battery has sufficient charge, he often uses EV mode to prioritize smoothness and rapid acceleration when needed. Thanks to the expanding charging station network of Tasco Auto – Lynk & Co's distributor in Vietnam – charging PHEV models like the 08 is becoming increasingly convenient.
With a full battery in hybrid mode, the car achieves a fuel consumption of just 1,38 liters per 100 km, an impressive figure compared to rivals in its segment. Utilizing a high-efficiency hybrid technology platform (EM-P Super Hybrid), the Lynk & Co 08 can travel over 1,400 km on a single full charge and a 60-liter fuel tank.
Another aspect that provides a worthwhile experience for Vietnamese customers is the Lynk & Co 08's safety technology and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) package, featuring 25 premium functions. The premium SUV achieved a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating thanks to its CMA Evo chassis platform, with a frame structure comprising 74,94% high-strength steel and 13% hot-stamped steel, as announced by the manufacturer. The vehicle is equipped with seven airbags, seatbelts with two pretensioners, and a rollover protection system (ROPS).
Notable ADAS technologies include: adaptive cruise control, active distance keeping, smooth acceleration and deceleration according to the vehicle ahead, lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking (AEB), cross-traffic alert, active collision avoidance assist (EMA), driver monitoring system (DMS), and forgotten child detection.

The sporty design philosophy and emphasis on technology are the strengths that help the Lynk & Co 08 make a strong impression in Vietnam. The vehicle is currently available in two versions, Pro and Halo, priced at 1.299 billion VND and 1.389 billion VND (including VAT), respectively. It comes with a warranty of 6 years or 175,000 km, whichever comes first. The battery is warranted for 8 years or 200,000 km.
In September, buyers of the Lynk & Co 08 premium SUV (VIN 2025) will receive a 3.5 kW portable charger, a 7 kW wall charger, and one year of Tasco comprehensive insurance. Additionally, the Lynk & Co 08 Pro version receives 100 million VND in registration fee support, while the Halo version receives 50 million VND.
For the Lynk & Co 08 Halo (VIN 2026), the manufacturer offers a 3.5 kW portable charger, a 7 kW wall charger, a 6-year or 60,000 km free maintenance package, and one year of Tasco comprehensive insurance.
