BYD Dolphin is currently available with a substantial promotion worth up to 125 million dong, making it a highly attractive option for buyers. This significant discount is part of a large-scale promotional event organized by the Chinese car manufacturer, BYD, primarily targeting ride-hailing drivers.
The 125 million dong incentive for the Dolphin includes several benefits: a direct price reduction of 85 million dong, a low 0.9% bank loan interest rate, six months of free charging valued at 6.5 million dong, and 30 million dong in support from Grab over four months. With these incentives, the price of the Dolphin is reduced to 444 million dong, down from its listed price of 569 million dong.
The promotion is a highlight of the BYD Fest 102 event, which took place in Hanoi on 17/9. This marks the second season of the event in Hanoi, following its debut in Ho Chi Minh City (TP HCM) in July. The event aims to benefit the first 500 customers who complete their transactions on the day, particularly focusing on those who use their vehicles for ride-hailing services. Other models receiving promotions include the BYD M6 and Seal 5.

The BYD Dolphin, a B-segment hatchback, is equipped with a 50.25 kWh battery, providing a range of 435 km on a full charge. It features a front-wheel electric motor that delivers 94 horsepower and 180 Nm of torque. The trunk offers a capacity of 345 liters, which expands to 1,310 liters when the second row of seats is folded.
The BYD Seal 5 also received a significant discount, the second largest, amounting to 110 million dong. This brings its price down to 586 million dong, including interest support and 6.5 million dong from charging partners. The Seal 5 features a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain with an 18.3 kWh battery, offering a pure electric range of 120 km and a combined range of up to 1,200 km, according to the manufacturer.
The BYD M6, a mainstream MPV, offers the third largest discount at 70 million dong. This promotion includes interest support from BYD and its partners, a 6.5 million dong offer from charging partners, and 40 million dong in incentives from Grab. The electric M6 MPV is fitted with a 55.4 kWh battery pack, providing a travel range of 420 km on a full charge.
The Fest 102 event represents a practical step in connecting drivers with various stakeholders, including car manufacturers, ride-hailing service providers, and energy infrastructure companies. These price reductions make it easier for buyers to access electric vehicles with lower initial costs and optimized operating expenses.
