Wrangler is the first Jeep model released under the Thaco distributorship. On 30/5, this distinctly off-road SUV launched in Vietnam with three versions: the Sport, priced at 2,999 billion dong; the Sahara, at 3,299 billion dong; and the Rubicon, at 3,499 billion dong.

The 2026 Jeep Wrangler, imported from the US and distributed by Thaco, is a mid-cycle refresh (MCA) model. It features minor exterior design updates and equipment upgrades, while the engine and overall silhouette remain unchanged from its predecessor. The vehicle highlighted in this article is the Sahara version.

The 2026 Wrangler maintains its characteristic boxy, military-inspired aesthetic. Its rugged, straightforward design, lacking intricate details, primarily appeals to a male audience.

With dimensions of 4,785 mm length, 1,875 mm width, and 1,876 mm height, and a 3,008 mm wheelbase, it is positioned within the D-segment SUV class.

The Wrangler's distinctly American, rugged, and boxy style makes it a unique offering in its segment. Its tailgate opens in two sections: a lower horizontal swing-out and an upper lift-up, both manually operated.

Geared for off-road dominance, the Jeep Wrangler features an impressive approach angle of 43,9°, a departure angle of 37°, and a breakover angle of 22,6°, along with a water wading depth of 762 mm. These figures significantly exceed those of most urban-oriented SUVs in its class.

The Sahara version is equipped with 18-inch all-terrain tires, while the Sport and Rubicon versions come with 17-inch off-road tires. All doors and the roof of the Wrangler are removable.

The most notable exterior upgrade is the redesigned 7-slot grille, now larger and more robust. The vehicle retains its LED projector headlights, complete with automatic high and low beam functions.

The 2026 Jeep Wrangler's cockpit retains its familiar layout. It features a vertical dashboard, which optimizes space for front-row occupants.

The new Wrangler features a more refined steering wheel design than its predecessor. The Jeep's steering system incorporates both electric power assist and hydraulic elements.

The most significant interior upgrade is the central infotainment screen, which has grown from 8,4 inches to 12,3 inches. All control buttons in the Wrangler are mechanical, ensuring ease of operation, cleaning, and durability for off-road adventures, particularly in wet conditions.

The new Wrangler continues to feature a 2.0 turbocharged engine, producing 270 horsepower and 400 Nm of peak torque. This is coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a Rock-Trac transfer case, which allows for adjustment of drive modes: two-wheel drive high, four-wheel drive high, and four-wheel drive low.

Exclusively, the Rubicon version includes an electronic sway bar disconnect feature and Off-Road+ mode, assisting the vehicle in traversing challenging terrains like mud, rocky paths, or slippery inclines.

The Sahara version of the Wrangler features leather-upholstered seats. Second-row legroom is generous. The vehicle is equipped with a dual-zone automatic climate control system, and the front seats offer 8-way power adjustment with 4-way lumbar support.

The Wrangler provides a spacious cargo area. It comes equipped with a 9-speaker Alpine sound system, delivering 552 W of power. Safety features include: adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and 6 airbags.

With a starting price of 3 billion dong, a distinct design, and its core off-road prowess, the Jeep Wrangler currently has no direct competitors in its Vietnamese segment. It primarily appeals to a niche market of individualistic customers with substantial financial resources. Compared to prices offered by the former distributor, JVA, the Wrangler distributed by Thaco is approximately 600-700 million dong lower, depending on the version.
