Toyota Vietnam recently launched the compact Land Cruiser FJ variant on 28/7, priced at 1.198 billion dong. Toyota positions its Land Cruiser line as a durable off-road vehicle, capable of conquering challenging terrains. This legacy serves as the foundation for the new FJ, designed for adventure.
Toyota Vietnam explained that FJ, standing for "Freedom & Joy", is crafted to inspire freedom and the joy of exploration. It builds on the success of its predecessors, the Land Cruiser and Land Cruiser Prado, targeting customers who enjoy travel and discovery.

The SUV's exterior design blends modern and classic aesthetics with angular, blocky lines. At the front, it features LED headlights and a distinct letter-shaped logo. The rear boasts a boxy design, complemented by a spare tire mounted on the horizontally opening tailgate. Both headlights and taillights maintain a consistent blocky shape, aligning with the vehicle's overall aesthetic.
Built on a body-on-frame chassis, the FJ is designed for off-road durability, distinguishing it from unibody city cars. Toyota highlights the flexibly removable front and rear bumpers, enabling owners to easily replace them or install genuine accessories.
The Land Cruiser FJ measures 2,580 mm in wheelbase, slightly longer than the Toyota Raize. Its overall length is 4,575 mm, and its width is 1,855 mm, placing it near the C-segment CUV category. The model's height of 1,950 mm surpasses many C-segment high-ground clearance vehicles. The FJ also offers a 245 mm ground clearance, exceeding several common pickup trucks on the market.

Powering the FJ is a 2.7 gasoline engine, delivering 164 horsepower and 245 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, a four-wheel drive system, and a rear differential lock. For challenging conditions, the Land Cruiser FJ features a second-gear start button to optimize traction on slippery or low-grip surfaces. Toyota also highlights the vehicle's large steering axle diameter and hydraulic power steering.
The FJ comes with the toyota safety sense (TSS) safety technology package, which includes adaptive cruise control and adaptive automatic high beam headlights. Additional warning features are: lane departure alert, pre-collision system, rear cross traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, and a 360-degree camera.
