According to the owner, the Ferrari is his personal vehicle, purchased for 3,6 million yuan (approximately 530.000 USD). He stated that he always parks the car in designated spots and it had never been scratched or involved in a collision before this incident.
At the time of the incident, the owner was away on a business trip and unaware of the damage to his Ferrari.
Surveillance video later revealed the full extent of the incident: four children climbed onto the sports car's roof, windshield, hood, and rear spoiler, treating it as a slide. The vehicle's paintwork sustained severe scratches, incurring substantial repair costs.
The owner immediately reported the incident to the police. The local police station mediated between the two parties on two occasions. Initially, the children's parents were indifferent, offering only a few hundred yuan in compensation. It was only after the owner rejected this amount that they reluctantly increased their offer to 5.000 yuan (735 USD).

One of two repair invoices, dated 26/6/2026, for 14.360 yuan.
The owner stated that he has no intention of overcharging and that all repair costs would be handled through official channels. He only requested that the parents cover the actual repair expenses.
Consequently, the owner released two repair invoices: one dated 19/6/2026 for 15.000 yuan (2.200 USD), and another dated 26/6/2026 for 14.360 yuan (2.110 USD).
Many commenters stated that as guardians, parents are fully responsible for their children's actions, and attempting to evade the issue is highly irresponsible.
