According to sales consultants, the Hyundai Tucson hybrid will be domestically assembled, similar to its gasoline-only variants. The anticipated price for this version is over one billion VND. The highest-tier gasoline Tucson currently sells for 989 million VND.
Hyundai dealerships have indicated that the Tucson hybrid is projected to launch in Q2. Its design will be similar to the existing versions, with the primary difference being the gasoline-electric hybrid powertrain.

In the South Korean market, the Tucson hybrid is equipped with a 1,6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 235 horsepower and 267 Nm of peak torque. This powertrain pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission and is available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive (AWD).
The Tucson hybrid's fuel consumption is approximately 6,17 liters/100 km in combined driving. In contrast, the 1,6 turbo gasoline Tucson currently sold in Vietnam consumes about 7,5 liters/100 km. This makes the hybrid version approximately 18% more fuel-efficient than its gasoline counterpart.
The exterior and interior of the Tucson hybrid generally resemble the standard model. Its external styling features softer lines at the front, becoming more angular towards the rear. Inside, the cabin boasts a large curved display, comprising two 12,3-inch screens integrated with a 12-inch head-up display. An electronic shifter is located behind the steering wheel.

The Tucson is Hyundai's second model to offer a hybrid engine option, following the Santa Fe. Within its electrified product range, the company also has the all-electric Ioniq 5, though its sales volume remains modest.
The Tucson is positioned in the C-segment CUV category. Before the Tucson hybrid's arrival, several rivals in this segment already featured hybrid configurations, including the Honda CR-V, Haval H6, Geely EX5, and BYD Sealion 6. Currently, the CR-V is the best-selling hybrid in the segment. In 2025, the CR-V hybrid recorded sales of 1,888 vehicles, accounting for approximately 30% of the total CR-V sales.
