The Vietnam oto market is currently experiencing widespread price reductions and promotions. The Jaecoo brand is also participating, stimulating demand for its newest product, the J5, with free fuel or charging benefits for 4-30 years, depending on the model.

Below are the promotion amounts, converted to cash, and the prices of the J5 versions: (unit: million VND)

With promotions ranging from 70-150 million VND, the gasoline, hybrid, and all-electric versions of the Jaecoo J5 are now priced between 499-699 million VND. Despite being positioned in the B+ segment, which includes competitors like the Toyota Corolla Cross (820-865 million VND) and Mazda CX-30 (699-749 million VND), the J5's price (599-749 million VND) is comparable to B-segment rivals such as the Mitsubishi Xforce (605-720 million VND) and Hyundai Creta (599-715 million VND).

The J5 is the second model, after the J7, to be sold under the Jaecoo brand. The company positions the J5 as more premium than the Omoda C5, a model that shares its platform and also belongs to parent company Chery.

The Jaecoo J5 offers a variety of powertrain options. The J5 Premium (ICE) version, with a pure internal combustion engine, uses a 1,5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, producing 145 horsepower and 210 Nm of peak torque. The J5 SHS-H (Hybrid) version combines a 1,5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric motor, delivering a total output of 221 horsepower and a combined operating range of approximately 1,000 km according to NEDC standards.

The J5 EV Flagship (EV) version is equipped with an electric motor producing 208 horsepower and 288 Nm of torque. It has an operating range of 461 km per full charge. The battery supports DC fast charging from 30% to 80% in 28 minutes.
