Kymco Vietnam has officially launched two new premium scooter models, the People R 125 and Sky Town 150, marking the company's commitment to offering European-standard vehicles with advanced technology. The launch event on 18/7 highlighted Kymco's strategy to cater to the growing demand for sophisticated and efficient urban mobility solutions.

The Kymco People R 125, previously showcased at the EICMA Milan (Italy) 2025 international motorcycle exhibition, is already available in France. This model is powered by a single-cylinder, 125 cc engine, delivering about 12 horsepower at 8.000 rpm and 11,5 Nm of torque at 6.500 rpm. It features electronic fuel injection and liquid cooling, meeting Euro 4 emission standards. The People R 125 measures 2.050 x 690 x 1.160 mm (length x width x height) and weighs 134 kg. Key features include: LED lighting, a keyless smart key, an LCD screen, a USB/type C charging port, and front and rear disc brakes with integrated anti-lock braking system (ABS) and traction control system (TCS).

Alongside the People R 125, Kymco introduced the Sky Town 150. This scooter utilizes a 150 cc engine, generating approximately 11,3 horsepower at 7.500 rpm and 11,3 Nm of torque at 6.500 rpm. It incorporates electronic fuel injection and air cooling. The Sky Town 150 measures 1.935 x 740 x 1.325 mm (length x width x height) and weighs 126 kg. Its features include: front and rear LED lighting, a keyless smart key, front and rear disc brakes with integrated anti-lock braking system (ABS) and traction control system (TCS), an LCD screen, and a USB/type C charging port.

A significant highlight for both models is the integration of tri-power tech. This technology coordinates the engine and battery to support smooth starting. It features an integrated starter generator (ISG) that combines a starter and generator, and TPT boost, a system that automatically activates when detecting a need for acceleration, aiding quick starts and fuel optimization. According to Kymco Vietnam, this system increases horsepower by 0,3 and reduces consumption by 2% compared to Kymco scooters in the same segment without the ISG system. A Kymco Vietnam representative stated: "Through software monitoring 150 parameters, the ISG system provides protection, preventing damage, overcurrent, overvoltage, battery failure, circuit errors, or integrated circuit issues".

Kymco Vietnam distributes the People R 125 at a price of 85 million VND (VAT included), available in four color options: white-black, blue-black, silver-black, and black. The Kymco Sky Town 150 is priced at 72 million VND (VAT included) and comes in three colors: blue-black, black, and gray-black.

During the launch event, Kymco Vietnam also showcased the domestically produced Agility EV electric scooter. This model is currently exported to Indonesia and is expected to launch in the local market later this year.
