On 19/9, VinFast launched its first electric range extended electric vehicle (REEV) pickup truck in the Vietnamese market. The VinFast VF Wild is equipped with a 46,4 kWh LFP battery, providing an all-electric range of up to 250 km on a full charge (NEDC standard).

To meet the demand for longer journeys, VinFast's pickup features a REEV system, which supplies additional energy to extend the range to 1,000 km on a single charge. The Wild's REEV configuration combines a gasoline engine and an electric motor; the gasoline engine's sole purpose is to power the generator and charge the battery.
With an all-electric range of 250 km or more, the VinFast VF Wild is classified as a REEVeb (electric based) according to Vietnam's classification system.
VinFast first showcased the VF Wild at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024 in Las Vegas, US. After over two years of development, the company has launched the commercial version, which utilizes the "Fluid Dynamism" design language to emphasize the pickup truck's distinctive character.

The exterior design is highlighted by a high hood, extended wheel arches, and muscular body lines along the vehicle's side. Surfaces and contours seamlessly connect the cabin and the bed. The Wild is fitted with 18-inch wheels, complemented by aerodynamic covers that enhance its aesthetic appeal. The vehicle measures 5,376 x 2,069 x 1,873 mm (length x width x height), with a wheelbase of 3,258 mm. The cargo bed features a pneumatic opening mechanism, dimensions of 1,574 x 1,512 x 509 mm, and a payload capacity of 750 kg.
The Wild's interior boasts a technological focus, featuring a 10-inch touchscreen that displays driving information, entertainment, and vehicle controls. The dashboard is designed with multiple layers. Door panels incorporate embossed patterns inspired by Fansipan peak. The gear shifter is integrated behind the steering wheel, and the seats have a sporty design.
Technological features on the VF Wild include: an interactive 3.0 virtual assistant; monitoring and control of the vehicle via smartphone; remote firmware over-the-air (FOTA) updates; battery health monitoring with performance optimization recommendations; driving behavior recording; and support for safe driving habits. Additionally, the VF Wild is equipped with vehicle-to-load (V2L) external power supply functionality.

VinFast is accepting pre-orders for the VF Wild from 25-30/9 through its website and nationwide authorized dealer network. The vehicle is available in one version, priced at 860 million dong for black, red, and white colors. The silver color option adds an extra 12 million dong.
During the early pre-order period, VinFast VF Wild customers will receive a 61 million dong discount, directly applied to the purchase price.
