Under the incentive program from Vingroup and its ecosystem companies, owners of gasoline-powered cars switching to purchase VinFast electric cars will receive discounts ranging from 3% to 9%, depending on the model.
The VinFast VF 2, Minio Green, and VF 3 models receive a 3% discount. The EC Van, VF 7, new generation VF 8, VF 9, and Lac Hong 900 LX are eligible for a 5% discount. Models receiving a 9% price reduction include: VF 5, Herio Green, VF 6, VF MPV 7, Limo Green, and the previous generation VF 8.
These discounts translate to savings from tens to hundreds of millions of Vietnamese dong compared to the listed prices. In addition to these incentives, VinFast vehicle owners will receive free battery charging at V-Green stations nationwide until 10/2/2029.

For electric motorcycles, direct discounts range from 1,5 million to 6 million VND, depending on the model and version. Owners of VinFast electric motorcycles with the battery-swapping version will receive support for 20 free battery swaps per month until 30/6/2028.
The second policy group supported by Vingroup targets transport service drivers. Green SM will apply a 100% revenue share for the first two years to driver-partners who purchase or rent VinFast electric cars or motorcycles. The condition for this incentive is that drivers must operate exclusively on the Green SM Platform and join before 19/12.

Additionally, GSM stated that new SM Bike drivers joining the platform will receive a guaranteed income for the first two months, provided they meet certain operational conditions. "Green SM commits to applying a discount of 50% compared to general market rates in the third year, and matching market rates in the fourth and fifth years," a representative from GSM, the company operating the Green SM platform, said, adding that the company aims to provide stable income for service drivers for at least five years.
For drivers who choose to rent vehicles to operate on the platform, Green SM also offers preferential rental pricing policies for both electric cars and electric motorcycles. After two years (for motorcycles) or five years (for cars), drivers will have priority to purchase the used vehicles at an optimized cost.
Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman and General Director of Vingroup Group, stated that Vingroup's second support program aims to respond to government policies on green transition, limit emission vehicles in central areas, and assist service drivers in switching to electric vehicles.
According to VinFast, from September 2024 to the present, the company has held the top-selling position in the domestic market for 24 months, contributing to the increasing market share of electric cars. Last year, VinFast sold 175,099 vehicles, the highest figure achieved by an automaker in approximately 30 years since the formation of Vietnam's automotive industry.
