Thaco Auto launched operations for its first Mazda flagship showroom in Southeast Asia, with construction having begun earlier this year. This Thaco Auto project represents a total investment exceeding 184 billion VND, featuring three above-ground floors, one basement, and a total floor area over 11,500 square meters. The facility includes: car display areas, a family zone, event spaces, and a three-story service workshop.

The showroom's design is based on a concept developed by GK Design Japan and Mazda Design Headquarters, with the philosophy of "Connecting" at its core. Mazda describes this design as blending nature, people, urban life, and the brand's spirit, incorporating architectural elements from Vietnam and Japan. The showroom's exterior features louvers positioned at various angles, creating dynamic shadow effects that shift with perspective.

The landscape features an expansive canopy, lush greenery, and seamless transitional areas, transforming the showroom from a mere display space into an integral part of the city. "At night, the interior lighting creates a vibrant and evocative appearance", a Thaco Auto representative stated. "The entire space is designed to offer unique perspectives, encouraging customers to explore and optimizing their experience. We hope the Mazda flagship showroom becomes a bridge between customers and the brand, and between Vietnam and Japan."

The service workshop area is designed with a modern model, comprising three functional floors: express service, engine and chassis repair, and body and paintwork, integrated with digital applications. This area is seamlessly connected to the vehicle display and sales areas, service reception, and car care sections, creating a continuous and convenient customer journey.

A Thaco Auto representative announced that next year, the group will continue to invest in new Mazda flagship showrooms across Vietnam. Subsequently, this model will be rolled out in Hanoi, while completing the transition to Mazda's new brand identity across its entire system by 2027.

At the launch event for the first Mazda flagship showroom, Thaco Auto also showcased and introduced new premium Mazda products, including the CX-60, CX-90, new CX-5, and MX-5 models.

The CX-60 and CX-90 are developed on Mazda's large vehicle platform, featuring the distinctive kodo design language. The driver's position focuses on a personalized experience, connecting the car and user. This platform is exclusively for rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive models, utilizing a longitudinal engine layout. This architecture allows Mazda to optimize weight distribution, enhance driving feel, and expand space for electrified powertrains such as plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and mild-hybrid.

The CX-60 is a D-segment SUV with two rows of seats, while the CX-90 has three rows of seats and a larger overall size, suitable for family use. The cockpits of both SUVs feature Mazda's new control interface, including a digital driver display and infotainment screen. Notably, physical buttons for climate control, and rotary knobs and buttons for the infotainment screen are retained.

The CX-60 and CX-90 are equipped with skyactiv 3.3 turbo MHEV and 2.5 PHEV engines, all-wheel drive (AWD) with a rear-wheel drive bias, and an upgraded suspension system. The vehicles also integrate i-activsense safety technologies.

The Mazda CX-5 is a new generation SUV, first launched in the European market in July. The company upgraded its design and overall dimensions. The interior aims for a spacious experience, featuring a 15,6-inch infotainment screen, a 2.5 engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission, and an optional all-wheel drive system. The vehicle is equipped with a new generation i-activsense safety system and a 360-degree camera with undercarriage view, enhancing the user experience.

The Mazda CX-60 and CX-90 are expected to be fully imported, with sales and deliveries commencing in 4/2026. The new Mazda CX-5 will officially launch, with sales starting in 11/2026.

Beyond the vehicles unveiled at the event, a Thaco Auto representative stated that Mazda will boost sales of its current models through product localization, developing personalization options, and a variety of lifestyle accessories to increase choices and value for users.

"The inauguration of the first Mazda flagship showroom and the introduction of new premium Mazda products mark a continuation of Mazda's robust development in Vietnam. Thaco Auto is committed to accompanying the Mazda group, helping maintain its position and fostering the brand's sustainable growth", a Thaco Auto representative said.
