The traffic situation: on a section of road with a median barrier, a man operating a motorbike against traffic unexpectedly crashed head-on into a car traveling in its correct lane.
The powerful head-on collision threw the motorbike rider onto the car's windshield before he fell onto the road. Immediately after the impact, the car driver braked sharply, stopped the vehicle, and quickly got out to assist the man. The specific extent of the victim's injuries remains unclear.
Driving skills: Vehicles are absolutely not permitted to travel against traffic, especially on roads with median barriers where cars typically move at high speeds. This poses a particular danger to both the driver and other road users.
In this situation, the motorbike rider unexpectedly appeared from the blind spot of a yellow bus ahead, moving into the lane adjacent to the median barrier, creating a sudden, "out of nowhere" situation.
Decree 168/2024 stipulates that the offense of driving against traffic on a road with a median barrier incurs a fine of 4-6 million VND and a deduction of two points from the driver's license. In cases where an accident is caused, the fine increases to 10-14 million VND, along with a deduction of 10 points from the driver's license.
When a collision occurs, the first steps are: ensure scene safety (turn on hazard warning lights), check the victim's condition, and call emergency services if injuries are severe. Avoid attempting to move the victim incorrectly.
