A camouflaged test version of the new Tucson was spotted undergoing road tests in the Alps, revealing a significant shift in its design language, according to Carscoops. Moving away from intricate lines, the C-segment CUV now features a boxier, more imposing shape, echoing larger Hyundai models within the product lineup.
While camouflage concealed some details, the front fascia appears rounded with a wide grille. Flanking it are split headlights, with sharper LED daytime running lights positioned above them. Below, a stylized air intake features horizontal lines that angle upwards towards the center.
Along the side, the body lines are flatter, contributing to an aerodynamic profile. This design integrates with a redesigned windshield and a steeper roofline. The new Tucson also features aero-optimized wheels and more traditional wheel arch shapes.

The new Tucson's interior has changed.
The license plate mounting position on the new Tucson has moved from the tailgate to the rear bumper. The taillights feature a new vertical design, connected by a thin LED strip. The rear bumper integrates slim reflectors and has a simpler design.
Interior images of the new Tucson reveal a slim digital instrument cluster and a new infotainment system called Pleos Connect. While the exact size of the infotainment screen has not been announced, other Hyundai models like the Elantra and Grandeur feature screens measuring 12,9 inches, 14,6 inches, or 17 inches, respectively. Other new features include a new, minimalist steering wheel.
Detailed information regarding the new Tucson's powertrain has not been confirmed, but hybrid and plug-in hybrid options are expected. The current hybrid version utilizes a 1,6-liter turbocharged engine, producing a combined output of 231 horsepower and 367 Nm of torque.
The plug-in hybrid variant uses the same engine as the hybrid but adds a 13,8 kWh battery and a more powerful electric motor. This boosts the total output to 268 horsepower and provides an all-electric range of 51 km.
The new Hyundai Tucson is scheduled to launch in late 2026, with pricing to be announced concurrently.
In the Vietnamese market, the Hyundai Tucson is officially distributed in five versions, priced from 769 to 989 million VND. It competes in the same segment as rivals such as the Mazda CX-5, Honda CR-V, and Kia Sportage.
