The British automaker began by applying a dark base coat, followed by multiple layers of clear gloss paint, before finishing with a lighter top coat. This meticulous crafting process created the necessary depth for the pattern etching.
Subsequently, an intricate Mashrabiya pattern was etched onto the surface to a depth of just 145 to 190 microns, demonstrating the high precision involved in the crafting process.
Beyond the bonnet, the lower body is painted diamond black, while the upper surfaces are finished in silver. The vehicle also features a dark chrome grille, a hand-painted coachline along its length, and an illuminated Spirit of Ecstasy. The 22-inch polished wheels boast a unique design.
The interior of this unique Phantom features several special details. A central highlight on the dashboard, crafted from Blackwood and Black Bolivar veneers, mirrors the etched pattern on the bonnet. Extensive Selby grey and black leather, black seat piping, floor mats, and embroidered headrest motifs complete the cabin.
"Mashrabiya is one of the most celebrated and enduring design languages in the Middle East," according to Rolls-Royce's lead designer. "For the Phantom Arabesque, inspiration was drawn not only from its beauty but also from the privacy, light, and airflow it creates. Rolls-Royce's goal was to interpret these qualities in a way that is both culturally resonant and distinctly Rolls-Royce."
The British luxury automaker did not disclose the price of the Phantom Arabesque.
