On the night of 31/3, a Porsche Cayenne crashed into a tree with such force that it split the vehicle in half. The Dunwoody Police Department, Georgia, reported that despite the extensive damage, the driver sustained only minor injuries.
Photos from the scene revealed that the driver's seat area was the only part of the cabin that remained intact. The front passenger seat was found in the middle of the road, and while the two rear seats stayed in place, the entire rear section of the SUV was separated from the front by a meter. Only a few electrical wires connected the two halves.

The damaged Porsche appeared to be a Carmine red Cayenne Coupe, featuring a sports exhaust and carbon ceramic brakes. The SUV's split condition offered a clear view of its black/Bordeaux red interior. A vehicle with this configuration would have cost over 130,000 USD when new.
The vehicle's quality and engineering appeared crucial in saving the driver's life. The area surrounding the driver remained relatively intact, likely preventing severe injury or fatality, as the rest of the car absorbed the collision's destructive energy.

Police identified speed as the primary cause of the accident. While comments on the post suggested the road's speed limit was 40 km/h, the extent of the collision damage indicated a much higher speed at impact.
The Porsche Cayenne Coupe is available with various engine options: a 3.0 V6 turbocharged engine (standard version) producing 348 horsepower, a 4.0 V8 twin-turbocharged engine (S version) with 468 horsepower, and a Turbo E-Hybrid engine delivering 729 horsepower. Depending on the model year, its top speed is 251 km/h (2024 model) or 275 km/h (2025 model).
