During the period leading up to Lunar New Year and throughout February, Subaru is offering significant discounts on its two main models: the Forester (VIN 2024) and Crosstrek (VIN 2025). These promotions include reduced registration fees, vehicle registration costs, and various gift packages. The Forester model eligible for these promotions is the previous generation, imported from Thailand. The newest Forester generation is currently imported from Japan.
Below are the specific promotion levels for the two car lines: (unit: million VND)
| Model | Version | Price | Promotion | Price after promotion |
| Forester | 2.0 i-L | 969 | 210 | 759 |
| 2.0 i-L EyeSight | 1.099 | 230 | 869 | |
| 2.0 i-S EyeSight | 1.199 | 280 | 919 | |
| Crosstrek | 2.0 i-S EyeSight | 1.098 | 199 | 899 |
| 2.0 i-S EyeSight e-Boxer (Hybrid) | 1.268 | 239 | 1.029 |
Beyond the cash discounts, dealers are also offering additional accessories or vehicle insurance to boost sales. Stock of the older Forester version is currently limited. The significant discounts are attributed to its earlier production year. Promotions for both the Forester and Crosstrek are among the highest in their respective segments.

The Forester competes in the C-segment CUV category, alongside models like: the Mazda CX-5, Ford Territory, and Mitsubishi Destinator. The Crosstrek is in the B+ segment CUV group, competing with the Toyota Corolla Cross. Both the Forester and Crosstrek are among the most expensive in their segments, a result of their product philosophy and import origin.
Among Subaru's offerings, the Forester is its best-selling model. Subaru does not release specific sales figures. However, data on registered vehicles in 2025, encompassing both new and used cars and collected by VnExpress, indicates approximately 1,062 Subaru vehicles were registered, representing a 19% decrease compared to 2024.
Following the cessation of operations at its factory in Thailand, all Subaru products are now imported from Japan. In addition to the Forester and Crosstrek, the company also sells models such as: the BRZ, WRX, and Outback.
