On 3/7, a traffic incident occurred on Lang Ha street. A vehicle equipped with a dashcam was traveling in the middle lane amidst heavy traffic, with the left lane reserved for bus rapid transit. A taxi in the right lane repeatedly honked and accelerated to overtake. Subsequently, the dashcam-equipped vehicle had a minor collision with the taxi's side mirror. After the impact, the taxi driver blocked the dashcam vehicle, forcing it to stop, then exited his car and assaulted the dashcam driver.
This incident highlights crucial driving skills. When encountering a vehicle behind that is persistently honking and showing signs of impatience, drivers should remain calm, maintain a steady speed, and stay in their lane. It is important to avoid sudden steering or lane changes to yield if conditions are not safe. For taxi drivers, attempting to overtake when there isn't sufficient space can easily lead to collisions. In the event of a minor collision, all parties involved should pull over to a safe location, engage in cooperative discussion, and contact law enforcement if necessary.
Any act of blocking another vehicle, forcing it to stop, or using violence to resolve disputes violates the law and poses a safety risk to other road users. In fact, numerous drivers have faced criminal prosecution and legal action simply for losing their temper and assaulting others over minor road incidents.
