Toyota, the Japanese automaker, has launched the Corolla Cross Z Adventure in its domestic market. This special edition marks the 60th anniversary of the Corolla series, featuring a distinct design inspired by the larger Land Cruiser model.
The Corolla Cross Z Adventure's focal point is its front grille. Toyota redesigned the grille, drawing inspiration from non-hybrid Corolla Cross models and refining it with black trim details and a unique emblem. This creates a more robust appearance compared to other models in the domestic lineup.

Other exterior enhancements include a faux aluminum skid plate, a "60th Anniversary" embossed badge on the side, and 17-inch six-spoke matte gray alloy wheels. The model also offers four limited color choices, each paired with a black roof.
To further enhance the vehicle's rugged appeal, Japanese customers can opt for the Z Adventure Set package. This adds "Toyota" lettering in white to the grille, mirroring the Land Cruiser style, and a Meteor Coat finish for the plastic components on the front bumper, side skirts, and mudguards.
Inside, the Z Adventure special edition features synthetic leather and fabric upholstery in Mineral and black for the seats. It is accented with contrast stitching and smoky silver highlights on the leather-wrapped steering wheel, gear lever, and dashboard.
Alongside the special edition, Toyota has upgraded several features across the Corolla Cross lineup in Japan. The HEV Z and HEV GR Sport premium trims now include a heated steering wheel as standard, along with an expanded advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS). This safety package incorporates blind spot monitoring, door open warning, a 360-degree camera with a see-through floor function, and an automated parking system that uses parking support brakes to detect obstacles, pedestrians, and crossing vehicles.
The 2026 Corolla Cross powertrain remains unchanged. In the Japanese market, the vehicle continues to offer hybrid engine options. Front-wheel drive versions combine a 1.8-liter petrol engine producing 97 horsepower with a 94-horsepower electric motor. All-wheel drive (AWD) variants, featuring the E-Four system, add a second electric motor at the rear, generating 40 horsepower.
The new Toyota Corolla Cross models are priced between 22,400 and 26,000 USD. Specifically, the Z Adventure 60th-anniversary edition costs 24,300 USD, while the optional Z Adventure Set package is priced at 1,800 USD.
