As 2026 begins, Toyota and its dealer network are continuing to offer significant promotions across many products. This period, following New Year's Day and leading up to Lunar New Year (mid-February), typically sees a surge in consumer demand.
The 7-seater MPV Veloz offers the largest discount, approximately 64-66 million dong, thanks to a 100% registration fee waiver. Its sibling model, the lower-positioned Avanza, also features similar offers, with dealer prices reduced by about 56-60 million dong.

In the small MPV segment, the Mitsubishi Xpander, a main competitor to Toyota's MPV models, also has registration fee promotions. Dealers are currently selling the Xpander with discounts ranging from 56-70 million dong.
Two other Toyota models, the Yaris Cross and Vios, also receive a 50% registration fee promotion. Vios prices at dealerships are reduced by approximately 23-27 million dong, depending on the version, while the Yaris Cross sees a reduction of 33-38 million dong.
The Vios, Yaris Cross, and Veloz were among Toyota's best-selling models in Vietnam in 2025. Notably, 2025 marked the first time in decades that the Japanese automaker's most popular model was not the Vios.
In 2025, the Yaris Cross sold 14,601 units, leading Toyota's sales, while the Vios ranked second with 13,424 units. This shift in consumer purchasing preferences reflects a trend towards high-ground clearance vehicles, dynamic design, spacious interiors, and advanced technology. The price difference between these two B-segment models, which vary in size and segment, is 100 million dong.
Toyota's total sales in 2025 reached 71,954 units, an 8% increase compared to 2024, placing it second in the market after VinFast. The company's hybrid vehicle segment achieved 8,474 units, a 58% increase.
