The incident occurred on 27/5 at an intersection in Yiyang, Hunan. Surveillance cameras captured three young men riding two motorcycles, who unexpectedly fell. After picking up one of the scooters, one of the individuals twisted the throttle. The scooter lunged forward, and because he had not yet fully seated himself, he had to jump off.
The now riderless scooter continued to speed, traveling against traffic through the intersection, and crashed directly into a car that was stopped at a red light. All three young men quickly mounted the remaining motorcycle and fled the scene.
Following the accident, traffic police promptly identified those involved through surveillance camera footage. All three young men were minors. Authorities severely reprimanded the three individuals, recorded a report, and informed their guardians to resolve accident compensation issues.
Traffic police took this opportunity to remind parents to supervise their children more closely and to prohibit minors from driving motorcycles without a valid license.
