The new generation VF 8 retains its SUV style, with a potentially longer wheelbase than the previous version. The front and rear designs have been completely overhauled. The front features a large black grille, creating a commanding presence and optimizing aerodynamics. At its center is VinFast's familiar V-shaped daytime running light strip. The main headlights are positioned high on both sides, with fog lights below.
On the side, the charging port has been moved to the right, instead of the left, for owner convenience when recharging. The wheel design has been updated. Large black accents are repeated in the rear design, accompanied by new lighting graphics. The distinctive V-shaped LED strip remains, consistent with the front design.

Late last month, Vingroup Chairman Pham Nhat Vuong affirmed that the company will focus solely on the electric vehicle ecosystem. However, it will also research and apply new technologies to extend the operating range of electric vehicles, enhancing user experience or enabling travel into areas without charging stations. He asserted that VinFast "will never produce gasoline cars again", but will research manufacturing new vehicles that can travel longer distances if customers happen to "forget to charge" them.

The new generation VinFast VF 8 is expected to use a different chassis platform than the old version, which VinFast will apply across its future new product range. In fact, current VinFast products such as the VF MPV 7 and Limo Green already utilize an electric-electronic architecture and have received positive user feedback.

Currently, VinFast sells the VF 8 in two versions: Eco (562 km range) and Plus (457 km range), priced at 1,019 billion VND and 1,199 billion VND respectively, excluding incentives.
