The incident occurred on a road with significant truck traffic. While other drivers paused at the curb to observe before turning left, a woman on a motorbike abruptly changed direction as a truck approached from behind. The collision knocked her down, and the truck ran over her motorbike, stopping a short distance later. Fortunately, the motorbike shielded the woman from direct impact. Shaken, she sought refuge with another motorcyclist parked nearby.
For safe driving: When changing direction, motorcyclists must signal and observe all surroundings, especially the desired path. They should only proceed when safety is assured. On roads with many large trucks, as shown in the video, some drivers adopted a cautious approach: they paused briefly at the curb to assess traffic before turning left.
Importantly, large truck drivers contend with extensive blind spots and often struggle to manage situations when navigating urban areas. They must reduce speed, particularly when passing through intersections and open exits.
