Xanh SM Bike drivers receive three years of free battery rental and swap

GSM offers three years of free battery rental and swaps for Xanh SM Bike electric motorcycle drivers, aiming to alleviate fuel cost pressures amid fluctuating gasoline and oil prices.

A GSM representative, the operator of the Xanh SM platform, announced the policy aims to support two-wheeled vehicle drivers across the country.

Specifically, users of VinFast swappable battery electric motorcycle models operating exclusively on the Xanh SM Platform will receive free battery rental for three years. Drivers can register for this benefit from now until 30/6. Additionally, these drivers will receive unlimited free battery swaps at public battery swap stations until 31/3/2029.

A GSM representative stated, "Over the next three years, Xanh SM Bike drivers using VinFast swappable battery electric motorcycles will be completely exempt from energy costs."

Beyond these policies, two-wheeled drivers on the platform will also benefit from revenue sharing, receiving up to 90% in their first year and 85% in subsequent years. Drivers acquiring a new vehicle for Xanh SM Bike operations can make a deposit of 3 million dong. Monthly rental fees start at 1,5 million dong for a VinFast Evo and 1,7 million dong for a VinFast Feliz II. The company also assists with various procedures including registration, insurance, maintenance, and GPS equipment, alongside a 500.000 dong joining bonus per driver.

Nguyen Van Thanh, General Director of GSM Global, explained that this policy facilitates two-wheeled drivers joining the Xanh SM platform, boosting their income and lessening their dependence on traditional gasoline motorcycles. "This initiative also reflects GSM's commitment to promoting green transformation, ensuring energy security, and stabilizing social welfare nationwide," he added.

VinFast currently offers three swappable battery electric motorcycle models: Viper, Feliz II, and Evo, with prices starting at 19,9 million dong. Users have the option to purchase or rent batteries. Rental costs begin at 175.000 dong per month for one battery and 300.000 dong per month for two batteries. A single battery swap at a public station costs 9.000 dong.
