The incident occurred when a residential camera captured two young girls walking, initially sheltering behind a motorcyclist crossing the road. The older girl had made it halfway across before turning back to the sidewalk. At that moment, the younger girl suddenly darted towards the other side of the road.
A high-speed motorcycle then collided with the child. The powerful impact threw the girl onto the road. Residents quickly assisted, taking the victim to the hospital. The child's current health status remains unknown.
Road safety advice: Motorcyclists in residential areas should not speed. They must maintain an appropriate speed to react to unexpected situations. Failing to control speed and keep a safe distance poses a significant accident risk for themselves and other road users.
Children are naturally energetic and lack the ability to judge vehicle speed and distance. When crossing the road, adults must always hold a child's hand firmly, ideally by the wrist, to prevent them from getting startled or running off. Whether walking or pushing a bicycle, pedestrians crossing the road should look left, then right, and then left again. Only when no vehicles are approaching should they begin to cross. Additionally, raising a hand to signal can help drivers from a distance recognize their intention and proactively reduce speed.
